Particle size distributions, routing in urban areas, and chemical characteristics

Modeling stormwater quality and the performance of most stormwater controls are highly dependent on particle size characteristics in stormwater, but few data are available in the literature. Particle size distributions vary for different sampling locations while their movement through typical drainage system components dramatically alters these size distributions. Density and pollutant strengths also differ for different particle sizes and locations of origin. This presentation will present summaries of these characteristics from different projects at different locations.
